Environmental Policy

Re purpose, recycle or dispose.

Each year US businesses discard an estimated 3 million tons of furniture. Accurate Installation Services, Inc. will do everything possible to recycle materials, minimize landfill waste, reduce emissions, and conserve energy.

Recycling

Waste materials returned from your jobsite are sorted and sent to a recycler. Cardboard, printing paper, metal, and wood are the current recyclable materials, and we are currently in search of a styrofoam recycler.

We recycle or repurpose 80% of the waste and furnishing that are returned to our warehouse for disposal. This prevents 36 to 60 dumpsters per year from going to the landfill.

Accurate Installation Services, Inc. recycles approximately 80 tons of cardboard, 2 tons of metal, and 10 tons of wood each year.

Used furniture that has been returned and is no longer wanted is donated to non-profit groups.

Minimizing Landfill Waste

Our crew separates trash from all recyclable materials daily, both at the jobsite and in the warehouse.

Energy

Accurate Installation Services, Inc. has replaced all its metal halide warehouse lights with new energy efficient fluorescents. The new lights combined with motion detectors are predicted to reduce energy usage well over 33,000 kW per year.

Vehicle Emissions

Our trucks all run on diesel fuel. 40% of the truck fleet are new; having lower polluting engines. These newer vehicles cut emissions. Eventually, we will convert all of our trucks to lower polluting vehicles.
